Operational principle
The vacuum filter generates a negative pressure environment through the vacuum system (such as the vacuum pump). When the liquid to be filtered (e. g., suspension or solution) is introduced into the filter, the solid particles or impurities in the liquid are trapped on the filter medium (such as filter cloth or filter paper), while the clean filtrate flows into the collection container through the filter medium. As the filtration process proceeds, solid particles will gradually accumulate on the filtration medium, forming filter cakes, which may increase the filtration resistance and reduce the filtration efficiency. Therefore, regular cleaning or replacement of the filter media is necessary.
